"What a bad timing. I am in ANC till tmr."
"Called Daniel. He will see if he can get it started."
"I think the Kubota may run once the radiator is cleaned of gunk. I had started taking off the guard to access it but ran out of time."
"I may have to cancel school. We'll see what happens."
"Maybe something simple like low water level & would need to add glycol."
"Daniel is on his way. we'll see what we can figure out."
Daniel got the Cummins started at 7:20 am and I was so relieved and it went off immediately. Turns out the belt broke.
"Hey John, I can only find a Kubota belt."
"I know I had a spare somewhere."
"Alrighty, I'll keep looking. Found a crank pulley but that's it. Could it be in the shop?"
"Might be. Came in a cardboard box."
"Yeah, I checked em all in the gen room. Both Kubota and Cummings sides. Don't know what to tell ya John. I've only found that Kubota belt."
"Wipe the Kubota radiator down a bit, put a few bolts back and should run fine. Was over heating from dirty radiator. Doesn't have to be super clean. Just enough to run. Also don't forget to retighten the belt on the Kubota."
"Do you have something to mix 50/50 glycol in? Or do you just pour this one straight? Doesn't say pre-mix."
Two hours later, at 9:20, the power was back on and it stayed on. I reconvened school for lunch and we completed the day.
