Fall is in the Air

My job is now beginning to kick in. I'm slowly beginning to get a handle on the site budget. Attempting to figure out what money I do and don't have. I have a lot more of the latter. Sat through a VTC (Video Tele-conference) last night on a very fast overview of the forms and budget. It was a lot to be absorbed in an hour. The forms and budget were very straight forward. What I will have to revisit is exactly how to manipulate the budget via the forms.

Last Friday we had two tech people here installing our outside cameras. Last years principal ordered them, because of the extensive vandalism to the building. Earlier that week we had a outside light bulb broken, the playground was covered in obscene language, the main entrance was tied off with a jump rope left out after recess and a bit of white yarn, someone took a ball of white yarn and webbed it across the back road entrance to the school (Our two teachers and maintenance man ride their ATVs in there to park.), and two kids were shooting BB guns at the school. While the cameras were being calibrated, we watched an elementary girl jam a stake into the grid in front of our secondary entrance, so that no one could get out the door. This is the same girl who took a ball of white yarn home to practice finger knitting and was shooting her BB gun at the school.

Last week I called a parent and asked to set up a meeting concerning her sons verbal harassment of a teacher. He was calling him "gay white guy", "stupid white guy", and "f**k  kass'aq". She hung up on me. Today I get a call from her demanding a meeting because she feels her child is being picked on by the teacher. She feels he is being singled out and having his name (demerits) put on the board when other students are not getting in trouble for the same thing. This is the same son, who stayed home all day Monday, getting ready to go hunting. Though he had time to come over to the school and play with the basketball for a few minutes. To my knowledge, they never went hunting. The same day, upon seeing someone in the elementary classroom window, he flipped them off.

We'll see how the meeting goes this afternoon, if she shows up.

Just one section, I have seven different photos.

As you can see, they are learning to spell.

It is hard to see, but it crosses this entrance three times.

It goes back and forth all the way to the stairs. This could seriously hurt someone driving in on their ATV.

This was not done by the wind.

We had attempted to untie it from inside, so the jump rope handle only has one wrap at this point. After it goes through the door handle a few times, it goes under the porch to the other side.

On this side, the handle has been removed and wrapped around a stick, then secured with white yard.
I found the other half of the stick in someone's yard. Though I am told this is no proof that they did it.
