Lighting Speed

That is what the end of the semester is approaching at--lighting speed.

It has cooled down and been in the teens. When it is sunny, cold, and almost clear, the mountains are breathtaking as the sun rises and sets.
Looking SE from my back porch. The clouds were beautiful.

Looking north at Baluga Mt. and the mountains behind it. They were breathtaking as the sun was setting and making them glow.

Looking east towards Goodnews. An incredible beginning to sunset.

We are in a mad dash to the end of the year. Have to get my teacher evaluations done and turned in this week. Christmas gifts, for students, I ordered the first week of November have not arrived. Need to get the few gifts I have in the mail. Starting to watch the weather reports and praying that the weather will permit me to fly into Bethel Friday, December 18. Beginning to plan what to take with me--what do I really need that I have with me.

I've decided to cook a pot of split pea soup. It should last me all next week. Need to make sure I don't have too much food left in the refrigerator, especially that which will not survive for three weeks. Homemade bread and soup can be frozen. I have salad making that I need to eat up and give what is left to someone. I will purchase new stuff in ANC before I return.

So much to think about and plan for--and time is flying! :-)
