For Halloween, Friday night the NYO team sold hot dogs, nachos, homemade pizza (pepperoni and Hawaiian), chili, popcorn, and juice. Deania made cinnamon rolls and donated them to sell. They also showed a movie that an admissions fee was charged. Once again I spent most of the evening painting faces (see pictures below). Saturday night after Trick or Treating, the teachers created a fun house where the kids had to compete for their candy. I only managed to take a couple of pictures of the two youngest attempting to eat an apple slice and a carrot, on a string, blindfolded.

The following weekend everyone (Brian, Autumn, Jessica, and I) climbed into my Honda and went up to the mine. It was Brian (He has been here three weeks teaching welding and drivers ed.) Jessica's first time to the dredge. We had snow on the mountains and hills. It was definitely colder up there. We spent a nice couple of hours and then headed home just as a storm started blowing in from the west. I discovered that I need more waterproofing between the windshield and the roof. The wind was blowing so hard it forced the rain up the inside of the roof and it dripped down onto Brian and I. Autumn and Jessica, riding in the back, stayed nice and dry.
