I have 13 students, so we are just above the safe zone, though not enough for any part of a second teacher. Two of our students were accepted at Mt. Edgecombe. Almost the entire community was at the airport taking pictures and saying goodbye, on Monday, August 22nd.

I have four students in high school and four in middle school. One (9th grade) is in school via teleconference all day. Two have three teleconference classes and one computer based class. One has two teleconference class that have to be done via computer connection because we only have one teleconference setup. The only computer that has that capability, at this time, is my computer, so for four hours per day, I have no access to my computer. The one student then has two computer-based classes. Two of my middle schoolers (6th & 7th) are in a remedial reading program. One (6th) is in the remedial program for the organization of thoughts. I'm going to have to provide supplemental work for him because he is above grade level in his reading. The other student (8th) is taking the regular 8th grade English course. All but the 8th grader is taking middle school math for their grade level. The 8th grade is taking Algebra with the high schoolers. I am blessed that Hansja has agreed to take the middle schoolers in the afternoon for social studies and science, so I can get some of my administrator's work done. I am struggling with the Read 180 programs rotation requirements and thank God for my classroom aide, Daniel Adams, helping me with all levels of math. I'm a high school English teacher for God's sake!!
